EveVenture Helps Parents Enjoy Real Work From Home

Kids across the country are headed back to school and parents who stay at home are making the most of those few extra hours in the day to be productive at home. For many parents, the ideas of making a career level income and staying home with kids are contradictory. But EveVenture provides a unique solution to this dilemma, allowing parents to honor their priorities of quality time with family while still providing a reliable income.

Whether your kids are away at school during the day OR you still have preschoolers at home, here are some tips to help the work at home parent stay sane:
  • BE CHOOSY. Your time is the single most valuable possession you have. You owe it to yourself to choose wisely when partnering with a company to work from home. So choose the best. BBB Accreditation is a must. Reputable references and honors are critical as well. Accessibility to real, live people who are there to answer your questions and help support you in your endeavor can make a huge difference.
  • SET BUSINESS HOURS. We initially envision working from home in our PJs and loving the flexibility of working whenever we want. However, given the constant demand of meals, dishes, to/from trips to school and kids' activities, community involvements and MORE, it's easy for your work at home effort to start off as just a hobby instead of the real business that you dream it can be. Setting and keeping regular business hours plays a significant role in your success.
  • KEEP IT REAL. Make sure the business you partner with facilitates a work/home environment that really matches your lifestyle. For example, do team conference calls allow you to mute and tend to family OR do you have to have the proverbial "hear a pin drop" type of silence during your business interactions? Especially for parents with babies and toddlers, does the work allow for broken time (instead of large chunks of dedicated business time)? I'm so grateful that the early days of my EveVenture business allowed for working in 10-15 minute increments throughout the day around my preschoolers!

EveVenture Celebrates Earth Day - Today & Every Day

April 22, 2011, commemorates Earth Day. This is a time to reflect and a time to step up and become better stewards of our natural resources.

EveVenture empowers consumers to partner with a reputable, environmentally-friendly company for their most basic shopping decisions. It's amazing how simple shopping decisions related to everyday consumable goods can have a huge environmental impact over time.

Some of the key practices that we recommend and endorse include:
  • Concentrating products wherever possible to minimize unnecessary, bulky plastic packaging
  • Deriving ingredients from sustainable, natural resources
  • Refusing to use toxic chemicals such as bleaches and phosphates that wreak havoc on our indoor air quality and our rivers and streams
  • Incorporating recycled materials into the manufacturing process
  • Choosing delivery modes and packaging with minimal environmental impact

Instead of polluted streams and overflowing landfills, let's leave a legacy of stewardship, sustainability, respect and gratitude for our precious natural resources.

EveVenture Supports USA National Poison Prevention Week (March 20-26)

In conjunction with Poison Prevention Week, EveVenture Referral Specialists all across the country are sharing the message of creating safer homes and reducing the risk of accidental poisonings.

According to http://poisonhelp.hrsa.gov, "More than 90 percent of the time, poisonings happen in people’s homes.1 The majority of these poisonings occur in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.2"  Our simple, daily shopping decisions can have a huge impact on home safety and the health of our families.

People are often surprised that safer products can actually be more effective and more affordable. At EveVenture, we not only advocate home safety, we provide tangible, real solutions that the everyday family can quickly and easily implement.

Most consumers are surprised by the unnecessary chemicals that fill their homes and by the cumulative health impacts of those harsh, caustic ingredients. These chemicals reside not only in home cleaning products but also in personal care products, cosmetics, and more.

I once heard an anecdotal story of a woman who carefully prepared her Easter ham each year "just like mom did" by cutting off about 1 inch from either side of the ham before placing it in the baking pan. After years of this mode of preparation, a sibling finally informed her that the only reason their mother had done this was to fit the ham in her small baking dish. How silly! Yet how many of us mindlessly manage our homes "just like mom did" without making the most of the resources available today?

We owe it to our families and ourselves to take a good hard look at our shopping decisions. We need to know that chlorine bleach, ammonia, aerosols, formaldehyde, abrasives, phosphates and fillers are not only unnecessary but also harmful to our families both in terms of posing accidental poisoning risks as well as harming our indoor air quality and our environment.

So what can you do?
  • Get informed about the safer shopping options available today that can eliminate the risk of accidental poisonings
  • And, if you ever suspect someone has ingested poison, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. They have an emergency checklist available here online.

What does EveVENTURE do?

Many times people want to know exactly what it is that we do. In fact, a few of these folks even ask this question after they just heard a 30 minute presentation. Is it because they were just not paying attention, distracted or just plain dense? In some cases, sure – those COULD be the reasons they ask. However, there are at least two other explanations we can think of that could cause someone to ask that question after just having heard the answer.

#1    Each presenter explains the information in his or her own way. While our presenters are amazing and very talented, everyone communicates their perspective in their own unique way. People are unique and we all communicate and understand in a variety of ways. For example, one presenter might say "We don't sell products or keep stock in our homes." While another presenter might say "We do not exchange goods for money or keep inventory." Both presenters said the same thing, didn't they? Some people would say yes. Others would say "It depends on what you mean by the words "sell products vs exchange goods for money." This is just one example of how people communicate differently. (For the record, EveVENTURE does not exchange goods for money nor do we keep or stock products in our home in order to sell them. We do however, endorse and open accounts for a company that does manufacture their own products.)

#2    The 2d reason I think people still want to know what we do after they've just heard about us is that they cannot quite wrap their minds around the fact that an organization would be so generous with their time and resources at no charge. People have been taught to believe that nothing is free and everything has a catch. When they encounter a volunteer organization like EveVENTURE, it is just incomprehensible to them that a group would spend thousands of dollars a year to help them get started with free resources. So, when someone comes off of one of our presentations, we do encourage our members to reiterate the fact that our members do receive ongoing mentoring, coaching, free websites (no hosting or maintenance charges, setup is free) and the ability to do their home business on the Internet. Granted, we DO pay a $29 membership fee to our parent company so that we can get started and it includes an amazing membership kit but everything that EveVENTURE provides it's members is complimentary.

So what do we do? In a nutshell, we setup accounts for an international company that manufactures green products. Plain and simple. We can do this using the Internet or we can talk to people that we know. It's a matter of choices. Through the years, EveVENTURE has had many men, women, married, single, with and without children get excited about what they see and join our members. We originally began with the concept of helping Moms stay home around their children. Many of our features and resources were developed BY moms FOR moms because moms with children at home have specific needs. Turns out a lot of people – male and female- with and without children love the flexibility that we offer too!
What we do is straightforward and uncomplicated. We're independent contractors. We receive a paycheck on a monthly basis for the work we've done (with weekly pay options). Checks are mailed on the 15th of each month. As an independent contractor, we receive a 1099 at the end of the year instead of a W-2. We're not the ones writing the paychecks every month. Our paycheck comes from our parent company. We set up accounts for them. We train you how to acquire and set up these accounts from the comfort of your home using your telephone and the Internet. You do not have to "know" a lot of people to be successful working with us. Your day to day work is simple and the key is to be consistent.

How to Get a Facebook Custom URL

You can personalize your Facebook URL (web address) by selecting a unique username. It will appear in the location bar of your browser after "http://www.facebook.com/" when you view your profile.  For example, mine is www.facebook.com/krissymayse
Someone who has NOT taken that extra little step to get the personalized URL would have a Facebook address that looks like this:

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000744743055&ref=ts

Who wants to try to fit THAT on a business card?

And really, do you WANT a sixty letter and number website address in your email signature?

So in order to make it look like this:
www.facebook.com/krissymayse here are two options that Facebook offers for you to get your own custom web address on Facebook.  Both are FREE. The Help Center at Facebook says you can just go to this link:

http://www.facebook.com/username.

Then you can select a username that Facebook suggests or create your own. Select "Check availability" to check for available usernames. If the desired username is available, click "Confirm" in order to confirm your choice.

The other way you can do this is to click on (from your page) Account, then Account Settings, then Name, choose Change Username.  It's to the right.  And you're all done!

EveVENTURE....The Place to Be

I would guess, that if you are like most, you joined EveVENTURE because you understood that it's what we teach, what we train, that gives people the leg up that they need.  When it becomes all about telling prospective customers your company credentials, stats, and latest products - then they lose track of the reason they asked for information in the first place.  They want someone to show them HOW to build an income from their home.  People want to know HOW to do something more than they want to know WHY the company is so awesome.

The next time you are closing, focus on a simple way of saying EveVENTURE will show you HOW to get ahead, HOW to make money where you couldn't in other places.  Focus on HOW they have everything they need in a fabulous support community.  Then ask them if they'd like to get started.
Bottom line:  Our company is awesome.  We have the awards, credentials, track record, best products and compensation plan.  But - it really doesn't matter what company or resources a person chooses if they don't have access to that special "something" that makes success possible.  They will fail every time without the right training and inside knowledge for making it in that company. The main thing someone you are sharing the information with needs to know before he/she will commit to joining you is that YOU have that something you can teach and that will make this work for them.  And you do:  EveVENTURE has step by step training, ways to generate contacts, and helpful marketing tools to help you get more contacts.
